Michael's Musical Mission was born from a desire to provide free music lessons across a wide range of instruments to children of all ages — opening the door to discover the beauty of harmony, rhythm, and self-expression through music. No cost is required to book; students are simply invited to give what they can.
Meet Michael
Michael has played trumpet, piano and sung since elementary school. Music and performance have been intertwined throughout his career as an actor on stage, film, and television, from originating roles on Broadway in Leopoldstadt and Elf the Musical to voicing Greg Heffley on the Diary of a Wimpy Kid studio cast album.
Michael's Musical Mission was born from a desire to provide free music lessons to children of all ages — opening the door to discover the beauty of harmony, rhythm, and self-expression through music. It's rooted in the belief that music should never be limited by circumstance, and that every child deserves the chance to explore their creativity, find their voice, and feel the confidence that comes from making music.

What we teach
We offer free lessons across a wide range of instruments, for beginners through advanced students of any age. Every lesson is paired with a teacher who knows the instrument well and gives each student their full attention.
Voice
Breath support, pitch, tone, and confidence on stage or in the choir room — for singers just starting out or working toward their next audition.
Trumpet
Embouchure, tone, and technique for band students and adult learners alike, from first notes to marching band and beyond.

Where donations go
Every lesson booked through this site is free — donations are entirely optional and never required to book. When students do choose to give, that money goes directly toward keeping the mission sustainable: covering supplies, travel to lessons, and the time it takes to teach the next student for free.
You don't need to be booking a lesson to support the mission. If you'd like to give without scheduling a lesson, you can make a one-time donation any time.
